Setting up Outlook email
To Set Up Outlook Express with Your Email Account.
Incoming mail: mail.yourdomain.com.au replace yourdomain.com.au with your domain name
Outgoing mail: check with your ISP - for example if you use optusnet to connect to internet then you would use mail.optusnet.com.au
Account name: type in the full email address you are setting up.
NOTE: The following procedure is for Microsoft Outlook Express 6. Just use our settings above when you do it yourself.
- In Microsoft Outlook Express, select Tools > Accounts.
- On the Internet Accounts window, click the Mail tab, and then click Add.
- On the Internet Connect Wizard, in the Display name field, type your full name and click Next.
- In the E-mail address field, type your email address and click Next.
- On the E-mail Server Names window, from the My incoming mail server is a list, select POP3.
- In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server field, enter mail.yourdomain.com.au (replace yourdomain.com.au with your domain name )
- In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, type in your ISP mail server ie (as an example if you have an optusnet internet connect you will type in mail.optusnet.com.au here) check with the ISP if you are unsure and then click Next.
- In the Account name and Password fields, type your email address and password, and then click Next.
- Click Finish
